At Coast Sport, you’ll have access to the most effective and comprehensive Clinical Pilates on the Central Coast. If you’re looking to enhance your posture, core stability, strength, and flexibility while ensuring controlled movement patterns and correct breathing, Clinical Pilates is the perfect fit for you.
So what exactly is Clinical Pilates, and what makes it different from other forms of pilates and strength-based exercise? Let’s explore the incredible benefits of Clinical Pilates, why you should choose us, and how our expert instructors can guide you on a path to recovery and peak performance.
What is Clinical Pilates? Understanding the Benefits
At its core, Clinical Pilates is not your typical generic Pilates class. It’s a highly targeted and individualised form of exercise prescribed by qualified Exercise Physiologists or Physiotherapists to address specific injuries or issues. With strong evidence supporting its effectiveness, Clinical Pilates has become a sought-after treatment for chronic low back pain and other musculoskeletal conditions.
However, don’t be fooled into thinking that Clinical Pilates is only for those with injuries. Athletes, from club-level enthusiasts to elite performers, also swear by its benefits. Here’s what you can gain from incorporating Clinical Pilates into your fitness routine:
- Improved Posture and Core Stability: Strengthen and stabilise your core, enhancing your overall posture and reducing the risk of injury.
- Increased strength and flexibility: Develop lean muscles and greater flexibility, enabling greater ease of movement.
- Better balance, coordination and movement control: Fine-tune your body’s coordination and movement patterns, helping you perform at your best in any physical activity.
- Learning or restoring correct movement patterns: Identify and correct any improper movement patterns to optimise your performance and prevent future injuries.
- Prevention of injury: Strengthen your body to withstand the demands of sports and physical activities, reducing the risk of injuries.
Why Choose Clinical Pilates?
Clinical Pilates stands out as an evidence-based and highly specialised approach to fitness and rehabilitation.
Unlike generic Pilates classes, which may not address your specific needs, Clinical Pilates offers personalised exercises carefully tailored to your individual requirements. This targeted approach ensures you get the maximum benefits and the best results for your specific physicality, ability, and goals.
Our Comprehensive Clinical Pilates Services
At Coast Sport, we offer a range of Clinical Pilates services to cater to various needs and preferences. Our expert instructor, Leigh-Anne McBride, is dedicated to guiding you through your journey to wellness and peak performance. Here are some of the services we provide in Clinical Pilates on the Central Coast:
Before starting a Clinical Pilates session or class, it’s crucial to undergo a Pre-Pilates assessment with one of our experienced Physiotherapists. This assessment helps us understand your unique needs and assess the suitability of a Clinical Pilates program for you.
One-on-one Clinical Pilates
For the ultimate personalised experience, our one-on-one Clinical Pilates sessions are second to none. With a qualified Exercise Physiologist or Physiotherapist focusing entirely on you, these sessions are designed to target your specific goals and requirements, ensuring optimal effectiveness and outcomes. Choose between our 30-minute and 60-minute sessions to suit your schedule and preferences.
Group/Class Clinical Pilates
Looking for Group Pilates in Tuggerah? For those who enjoy the camaraderie of group sessions, our 60-minute classes offer the ideal blend of motivation and individual attention. With limited participants, you can rest assured that you’ll receive the guidance you need to achieve your goals.
We offer both Matwork and Reformer sessions:
- Matwork Classes: Use your body and small equipment like weighted balls or resistance bands to apply functional challenges. This foundational form of Clinical Pilates is an excellent starting point for most individuals.
- Reformer Classes: For those seeking a more challenging and progressive experience, Reformer Pilates is the way to go. This involves performing exercises on a specially designed exercise machine called a Pilates Reformer, which applies smooth resistance to your movements. Reformer Pilates takes your practice to higher levels of movement and control.
Commitment to your journey is key, and that’s why we recommend starting with a course of at least 6 sessions to achieve clinically significant results.
To support your commitment, we offer session packages with attractive discounts, ensuring that you achieve the best possible outcomes. Speak to us about our 6, 12, or 20-session packs for added value and progress.
We don’t just cater to individuals and classes; our special Clinical Pilates Central Coast packages extend to sports teams and squads as well.
Enhance movement and performance tailored to the specific demands of your sport and your team’s ability level. Reach out to us to discuss options for your team, and we can even conduct the classes at your training or competition venue.
