At Coast Sport, we are passionate about dancers performing and moving well! When working with you, we view communication as key to a great outcome. We will happily liaise with your dance teacher (if required) to help you get back to your best!

Common Dance Injuries

Hip Injuries

The hip can develop pain with the extreme ranges of movement and repetitive actions involved in dance.

Knee Injuries

Twisting and landing can cause knee injuries to occur in dance!

Foot & Ankle Injuries

The foot is key to dance! Great loads are placed on the foot and ankle in any dance!

With all injuries, we work together with you (plus your parents if required) and your dance teachers to keep you dancing as we are able, to help settle your injury, and build back up to full routine and dance load!

Pre-pointe Assessments

We offer pre-pointe assessments for dancers wishing to progress to pointe. A pre-pointe assessment can reduce your risk of injury and ensure you progress to pointe in the safest way possible.

Our pre-pointe screenings will give you a thorough breakdown of your strengths and weaknesses. It will also allow us to tailor individual exercises aimed at improving such weaknesses and a way in which we can track your improvement.

We provide feedback to your teacher to help progression and planning to build into pointe work!

Booked in for a pre-pointe assessment? Please download our pre-pointe assessment info document below!
