Jeremy Matthes

Physiotherapist

Jeremy has a keen interest in helping athletes and non-athletes continue doing what they love. Having played a variety of individual and team sports himself, he understands the physical and mental challenges that come with returning from an injury and achieving your goals.

Jeremy completed a Diploma in Outdoor Recreation before graduating from the University of Newcastle with a Bachelor of Physiotherapy. He spent his graduate year working at Calvary Mater Newcastle public hospital gaining experience across rotations including general medicine, intensive care, respiratory and rehabilitation settings. He then pursued his interest in musculoskeletal and sports rehabilitation by firstly working at a clinic in Newcastle then joining the team at Coast Sport.

After recently having the opportunity to be the physiotherapist for the Sydney Swans First Nations Academy program at their Central Coast hub, Jeremy is looking forward to more opportunities to support sporting teams and athletes on the Central Coast. He has a particular interest in basketball, AFL, mountain biking and running injuries.

Jeremy currently spends a large portion of his time away from work playing Australian rules football and tennis. He also enjoys spending time outdoors on the coast or in the bush with friends and family.
