Coast Sport has been selected as the preferred Physiotherapy coverage provider for the Central Coast Crusaders. The local basketball club is very excited to have the leading local allied health services provider in their corner to provide premium sports coverage at training and home games for players across all teams.
As part of the partnership, Coast Sport will offer physiotherapy coverage at training sessions and relevant home games to ensure all players are performing to the best of their ability, with active injury prevention and management being priority.
The Club Terrigal Central Coast Crusaders were established in 2007 and are the Central Coast’s representative basketball team in the Basketball NSW Spalding Waratah Senior Leagues. With over 50 players participating across the five teams, the Crusaders provide a pathway for players from their junior feeder club – Gosford City Rebels – to participate at the top level in New South Wales. The Crusaders program focuses on developing local talent, with an emphasis on ensuring that players invest back into the Central Coast program and the next generation of Rebels and Crusaders.
Director and head Physiotherapist at Coast Sport, Matt Cranney, who is also a keen basketballer himself and has been involved with the Central Coast Crusaders for many years now says “the team at Coast Sport wish to actively support our up and coming local basketball talent and we intend to do all we can to keep players in optimal condition throughout the season”.
Club President, Kieren Moore is delighted by the strong partnership that has been formed with the leading allied health provider based in Tuggerah. “Our local players no longer need to travel for premium treatment and services, Coast Sport provides integrated allied health services covering all modalities including physiotherapy, podiatry, sports nutrition, massage and exercise physiology” states Moore.
The Central Coast Crusaders program is operated and funded by Gosford City Basketball & Sports Stadium – a not-for-profit organisation that celebrates its’ 25th anniversary in 2018. The basketball season has recently commenced for the Central Coast Crusaders with games continuing into August.
We wish all the players best of luck and look forward to an exciting season ahead.
